Site Engineer - Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking degree-qualified geotechnical or geoenvironmental engineers and engineering geologists with proven experience in planning and managing ground investigations. You'll be someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives on variety, and values collaboration.

Strong health and safety awareness, project management, and technical understanding are essential, as is the ability to deliver high-quality investigations in complex urban environments.

The Role

This is a site-based position supported by regular office time for project preparation, reporting, and professional development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and managing ground investigations

  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and design teams

  • Preparing factual and interpretive reports

  • Upholding best practice in health, safety, and quality standards

The role involves travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays. A full UK driving licence is required.


About You

You'll be:

  • Experienced in geotechnical or geoenvironmental fieldwork

  • A clear communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Committed to maintaining safety and quality on every project

  • Confident in technical reporting and IT skills

  • Familiarity with CAD, AGS, OpenGround (HoleBASE), or similar geotechnical software is advantageous
