Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the condition of the highway network and identifying areas in need of maintenance and repair
- Coordinating and managing repair works to ensure timely and effective maintenance
- Liaising with contractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Conducting routine inspections and maintaining accurate records of network conditions and maintenance activities
- Providing reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders
- Responding to emergency situations and ensuring quick resolution to minimise disruption
- Engaging with the local community and addressing any concerns related to the highway network
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of highway maintenance operations
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway maintenance or a related field
- Understanding of highway maintenance techniques and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to highway works
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or a related discipline (desirable)
