A successful manufacturing business requires a Logistics Coordinator on a 9 month FTC basis. Applicants need previous experience in logistics, ideally covering both inbound and outbound movements, an appreciation of HMRC processes and skilled in 3PL liaison.

The Logistics Coordinator will work as part of a team of 2 reporting to a Logistics Manager. Administering logistics processes for the business they will ensure an effective inbound and outbound movement of goods and products, crucially satisfying internal and external customer need.

Specific duties of the Logistics Coordinator include:

  • Coordinate and administer inbound and outbound deliveries with service providers.
  • Communicate daily with internal colleagues to align shipping plans.
  • Ensure logistics activities align with production schedules for maximum On-Time Delivery (OTD).
  • Generating international and domestic shipping documentation, and international trade documents.
  • Prepare and retain documentation for audits and HMRC controls.
  • Liaise with 3PL, freight forwarders, and couriers on a weekly basis to schedule shipments
  • Produce logistics reports and support administrative tasks as required.

Logistics Coordinator applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience in a logistics role, either in-house or with a freight forwarder
  • Experience coordinating inbound and outbound shipments
  • Some knowledge of HMRC processes
  • Previous experience of an ERP or MRP system
  • Knowledge of logistics and shipping documentations
  • Comfortable working on a 9 month maternity cover contract
