Our client, a prominent organisation in the aerospace industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Compliance and Continuous Improvement Director to join their team. This is a newly created position within the senior management team of their Landing Gear MRO operations, offering exciting opportunities for career development and contribution to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure regulatory compliance by working with the Accountable Manager for Quality. Oversee Compliance activities referenced in the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
  • Ensure compliance with UK Legislation and SAFRAN Group Standards for Health, Safety, and Environment. Promote HS&E initiatives and address risks and accidents on-site.
  • Manage and facilitate Engineering and Continuous Improvement activities, including strategy design and project implementation to enhance processes.
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, fostering engagement and leading change management activities.
  • Oversee the framework for training, delivery, maintenance of the training/skills matrix, competence reviews, and more.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven leadership and strategic thinking with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with aviation regulators (CAA, EASA, FAA) and Part 145 regulations.
  • Awareness of AS9100 assessment tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Aerospace Overhaul processes.
  • Familiarity with Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) and Repair Concession (RC) processes.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement, preferably as a Blackbelt (certified or working towards), with strong statistical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of energy and decarbonisation practices (with support from training).
  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of ISO OHSAS 18001, BSI ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Management Systems and Safran HSE Standards.
