The Opportunity: Leading a Major European Project

Our Organisation is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager/Lead to join a significant, large-scale data centre construction venture in Madrid, working directly on behalf of Our Client, a global leader in the sector.

This is a unique chance to contribute to a highly respected project team, collaborating with elite construction professionals on one of the most technologically advanced builds in the European region.

Initial placement is in Madrid, with prospects for future assignments across Europe. Depending on the nature of the position, it may be entirely site-based (with comprehensive relocation assistance provided if necessary), or offer hybrid/remote working options, which will be confirmed during the interview process.

Core Responsibilities

As the Quality Manager/Lead, you will be crucial in ensuring that all construction activities adhere to the highest standards set by Our Client. Your main duties will encompass:

  • Developing and Implementing Standards: Directing the creation, execution, and upkeep of the overarching Project Quality Plan and the specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring full compliance with Our Client's detailed specifications.

  • Contractual Interpretation: Clearly conveying the contractual quality obligations and requirements to the entire project team and all supporting functions.

  • Guidance and Support: Offering expert advice and direction on how to meet the required implementation standards throughout the build.

  • Client Liaison: Serving as the principal point of contact for Our Client on all quality matters, fostering a consistent approach to relationships, and managing/investigating any customer feedback or concerns.

  • Witness Point Coordination: Organising, establishing, and managing the detailed programme for all project inspections, testing regimes, and associated witness points (on a system-by-system basis), along with the corresponding schedule for Our Client's attendance.

  • Issue Resolution: Coordinating the timely and effective resolution of all quality-related problems at the Project Management and site supervision levels.

  • Documentation Handover: Systematically coordinating the formal handover of all completed Quality Records to Our Client as each system is commissioned and accepted.

  • Promoting Excellence: Encouraging a culture of high quality through targeted team training sessions and internal benchmarking activities.

  • System Completion: Driving a systematic process for the formal systems handover and successful project closeout.

Essential Criteria

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Significant prior experience within the construction industry, with a demonstrable focus on Quality Control within complex, large-scale projects.

  • A thorough and current knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.

  • Proficiency in the Spanish language (verbal and written).
