Our client, operating within the highways sector, is currently seeking 10 Traffic Management Operatives for a significant contract in the Lancashire area. This is a contract opportunity for professionals experienced in traffic management and control, specifically on highways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, manage, and remove traffic management systems according to high standards of safety and efficiency
  • Implement and monitor lane closures, diversions, and other traffic control measures
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of traffic management systems
  • Record and report incidents and near misses in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and other team members
  • Operate in a professional and courteous manner while interacting with the public
  • Assist with the training of new team members if required

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in traffic management, particularly within the highways sector
  • Valid driving licence
  • M1/M2 Lantra qualification (M5 qualification is highly desirable)
  • Good understanding of traffic management plans and relevant regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including up to 50-60 hours per week
  • Commitment to adhering to health and safety protocols

Contract Details:

  • Location: Lancashire area (BB3)
  • Contract Length: 3 years
  • Working Hours: 50-60 hours per week
