Our client, operating within the highways sector, is currently seeking 10 Traffic Management Operatives for a significant contract in the Lancashire area. This is a contract opportunity for professionals experienced in traffic management and control, specifically on highways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, manage, and remove traffic management systems according to high standards of safety and efficiency
- Implement and monitor lane closures, diversions, and other traffic control measures
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of traffic management systems
- Record and report incidents and near misses in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and other team members
- Operate in a professional and courteous manner while interacting with the public
- Assist with the training of new team members if required
Job Requirements:
- Experience in traffic management, particularly within the highways sector
- Valid driving licence
- M1/M2 Lantra qualification (M5 qualification is highly desirable)
- Good understanding of traffic management plans and relevant regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including up to 50-60 hours per week
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety protocols
