BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Planner to Lead a team of Engineering Design Planners for their Aukus Submarine project.
This position a a 6 month contract with requirement to be on site in Barrow-In-Furness 2 days a fortnight (subject to potential change).
In this role, you'll:
Lead and mentor a team of Engineering Design Planners with varying levels of SQEP.
Collaborate daily with programme stakeholder groups to ensure schedule requirements are met.
Develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules and supporting documentation.
Translate complex data into clear, insightful presentations for diverse audiences.
Implement and refine planning processes to drive continuous improvement.
Report on schedule performance internally and externally to key stakeholders.
Drive quality improvements across design and supply chain schedules.
Coach and support team members, contributing to performance management and professional growth.
Support CAMs during the period end process.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Strong, hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
Proven success in planning for major projects.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Desirable:
Previous leadership experience within a planning function.
A recognised project management qualification (APMQ, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
