An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Analogue and Digital Electronics Technician to be part of a highly skilled team that develops and manufactures electronics sub-systems for defence products, as well as supporting research and development activities.
The role of the Electronic Technician offers the chance to develop your electronics engineering skills in support of the design and manufacture of our leading-edge products. It will encompass a broad spectrum of engineering tasks, including support to production test, test development, prototyping, fault finding, qualification testing, trials, acceptance testing and data analysis.
This role will provide scope for further growth and career development within the Production Design Support function.

Skill and Experience;
- Ideally HNC qualified or above, qualified in a relevant electronics / electrical discipline, with a strong understanding of electronics and basic maths.
- You will have experience of the design environment and the development process
- You will have some familiarity with test and fault finding on a range of technologies (including the operation of oscilloscopes, waveform generators, dataloggers and spectrum analysers) which would include a number of the following: Analogue, Digital, RF, Optical and Safety.
- You will have familiarity with the development process and understand the logistics of kitting parts and progressing through prototyping processes.
- You will have good report writing skills, with the ability to keep accurate records.
Desirable Experience;
- Experience in the Defence or safety regulated environment would be advantageous
- Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
- Experience in a production support role is an advantage, but not essential
