Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a dedicated Through Life Support (TLS) Managing Consultant. This permanent role offers a flexible working environment, with the possibility of part-time, job-share, or full-time arrangements. Locations include Bath, Fareham, and Plymouth, with opportunities for hybrid working and travel to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a standalone subject matter expert (SME) on all TLS based inputs in support of major projects and programmes.
  • Plan and generate project/programme outputs specific to TLS activities and analysis.
  • Maintain skills within the Asset Performance/DIAS UK capability matrices through self-assessment.
  • Take technical ownership of case studies and white papers as required by the business.
  • Serve as the technical lead for bid support throughout the bid management process.
  • Support and mentor developing peers within the team.
  • Engage in TLS related engineering tasks including TLS Management Planning, Supportability Analysis, various Modelling and Simulation activities (e.g., LORA, FMECA, MTAs), Maintenance Engineering, and Spares Provisioning/Inventory Management.
  • Manage and progress personal professional development.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working to Def Stan 00-600 and surrounding policies/processes, including pertinent JSPs, the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF), and ASD-STANs.
  • Knowledge of the UK Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) environment as a customer or industry partner.
  • Understanding of the UK/International Defence Industry.
  • Awareness of the ASD suite of standards surrounding ASD x000i is desirable.
  • Must be a UK National and eligible to hold UK Security Clearance at SC level.
