Our client, a leading company in the T&D sector, is currently seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves being on site five days a week, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures
- Conducting regular safety inspections and audits on site
- Identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective measures
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Providing training and guidance to staff on health and safety best practices
- Investigating accidents and incidents, and preparing detailed reports
- Collaborating with management to continuously improve safety standards
- Maintaining accurate records of health and safety activities
Job Requirements:
- Experience in health and safety management within the T&D sector
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective measures
- Proficiency in preparing and maintaining health and safety documentation
- Experience in training staff on health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
- Relevant health and safety qualifications or certifications
