Position Details
Title: 66kV Senior Authorized Person (SAP)
Location: Offshore Wind Farm / Onshore Support
Reports To: HV Operations Manager
Role Overview
The 66kV SAP is responsible for the safe operation, isolation, testing, and restoration of the offshore wind farm's 66kV network in line with Electrical Safety Rules and safe systems of work.
Key Responsibilities
Act as SAP for 66kV systems, issuing and cancelling Permits to Work, Sanctions for Test, and Isolation Certificates.
Perform HV switching on WTGs and offshore substations.
Ensure compliance with ESR/ESOS, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
Support electrical incident investigations and fault response.
Manage operation and maintenance of GIS, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and HV cables.
Coordinate with OEMs, Control Room, engineering teams, and OFTO/TSO operators.
Supervise HV technicians and contractors during HV activities.
Plan HV work packages and ensure documentation accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Certified SAP (66kV or higher) under recognized Electrical Safety Rules.
3-5 years HV SAP experience in offshore wind, utilities, or transmission.
Strong understanding of protection systems, switching, and HV isolation procedures.
Valid GWO certifications and offshore medical.
Preferred
Experience with offshore substations, WTGs, SCADA systems, and HV commissioning.
Knowledge of OFTO/TSO interfaces and HV control systems.

Additional Information
Role is rotation-based offshore with required travel and may involve extended working hours during commissioning or fault events.
