Our client, a leader in the data centre sector, is currently seeking a High Voltage (HV) Technical Lead to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of HV electrical systems on major construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of HV projects, including design, planning, construction, technical compliance, commissioning, and handover
- Inspire and motivate project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to oversee project challenges
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulations for HV systems
- Coordinate with designers, utility companies, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery
- Oversee the design processes and manage review/approval procedures
- Ensure compliance with regional HV regulatory bodies
- Mitigate project risks and uphold safety and quality standards
- Maintain a solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental principles in HV operations
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in delivering HV electrical systems on large or complex construction projects
- Background in engineering or construction, ideally with HV or energy infrastructure experience
- Familiarity with utility protocols, commissioning practices, and safety standards for HV systems
- Strong communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach with a commitment to safety and quality
