Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is presently looking for a dedicated Supply Chain Logistics Operative to join their Subs business unit at the Barrow site. This position offers a unique opportunity to work fully onsite in a dynamic and critical industry, contributing to submarine solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing a variety of warehousing duties, including materials handling
- Managing and handling steelwork and other materials
- Operating forklifts and cranes (training will be provided)
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Collaborating with various departments to facilitate efficient supply chain logistics
- Maintaining accurate records and inventory levels
- Supporting the logistical operations to ensure timely and effective material flow
- Adhering to security requirements, including BPSS + SC clearance
Job Requirements:
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, and materials handling
- Basic understanding of working in the Defence & Security sector beneficial
- Experience with forklift and crane operations advantageous but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Willingness to undertake necessary training provided by BAE
- BPSS + SC clearance eligibility (ITAR and UK Eyes only)
