Our client, a prominent consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking Civil Design Engineers to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO's), pipelines, and pumping stations
- Preparing detailed civil engineering designs and specifications
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet regulatory requirements
- Conducting site visits to assess conditions and gather data
- Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers
- Ensuring designs adhere to Northumbrian Water's standards and guidelines
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies as necessary
- Managing project timelines and delivering designs within agreed timeframes
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in civil design engineering, specifically within the water sector
- Proficiency in designing CSO's, pipelines, and pumping stations
- Excellent understanding of relevant civil engineering principles and practices
- Strong proficiency in civil design software tools
- Ability to conduct site assessments and produce accurate reports
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work from the Leeds office 2-3 days a week
- Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
