Our client, a renowned entity in the rail industry, is seeking a dedicated Land Coordinator for a contract role with an expected duration of a minimum of 6 months inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend Area South (SCS) land board meetings and contribute to discussions as the construction interface, highlighting delivery risks and impacts to timelines.
- Track land ownership, rights, and interests, maintaining an accurate understanding of the geography across Area South.
- Support the preparation and issuance of possession notices, licences, agreements, wayleaves, easements, survey notices, and acquisitions.
- Coordinate with external construction contractors and assist with HS2 internal processes and general property matters.
- Assist with survey access, consultation & engagement, negotiation, and settlement processes for acquisitions and licences for land rights.
- Maintain correspondence and documentation for compensation claims, legal agreements, and out-of-limits cases.
- Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to progress cases efficiently.
- Build and sustain positive relationships within the Integrated Project Team, external contractors, HS2 Multi-disciplinary team, and external stakeholders.
- Communicate project and programme challenges, risks, timelines, milestones, and potential disruptions clearly and professionally.
- Support community liaison activities and respond to inquiries promptly.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience in land and property, surveying, law, geography, or a related field.
- Prior experience in land and property coordination, property compensation, easement/property management, or related roles within large infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with land acquisition and assembly processes, Hybrid Bill statutory undertakings, easements, wayleaves and legal agreements.
- Understanding of land ownership, land rights, and basics of land law.
- Familiarity with GIS or property management databases is advantageous.
- Knowledge of HS2 governance, statutory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement best practice is a plus.
