The Opportunity

Due to sustained expansion and continued success, we are seeking a motivated and driven Electrical Project Engineer to join our site team.

Reporting directly to the Site Electrical Project Manager, this crucial role involves daily interaction and liaison with various stakeholders, including:

  • Suppliers

  • Site Supervisors

  • Project Managers

  • Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) Advisors

  • Subcontractors

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical coordination and management of electrical installations on site:

  • Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC): Manage all site QA/QC procedures, including the generation and issuing of required weekly and monthly reports.

  • Compliance: Ensure all project works are meticulously carried out and managed in strict accordance with the company's Integrated Management System.

  • Technical Guidance: Act as the primary technical point of contact, offering advice and guidance to subcontracted staff on all technical aspects of the installation work.

  • Documentation Management: Maintain rigorous document control, ensuring all relevant logs, including drawing registers, are current and accurate.

  • Troubleshooting: Apply proactive troubleshooting techniques to swiftly identify and diagnose problems, implementing effective corrective actions.

  • Information Flow: Raise formal technical Requests For Information (RFIs) promptly to ensure all necessary details are obtained to complete the electrical installations without delay.

  • Reporting: Provide accurate input into weekly site progress reports for management review.

  • Drawing Review: Manage, coordinate, and review technical drawings as required for site operations.

  • Health & Safety: Uphold compliance with all site and project-specific requirements, with particular emphasis on operational health and safety obligations.

  • Project Handover: Prepare and compile comprehensive handover packs and test packs for completed systems.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

  • Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.

  • A self-motivated and highly organised approach to work.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in providing robust technical support to both management and site installation teams on previous projects would be advantageous.
