We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Lead to spearhead our safety strategy on a critical turnkey project in Helsinki. You won't just manage compliance; you will own the safety culture, driving an industry-leading standard across all disciplines on-site.

This is a critical, full-time role requiring the successful candidate to live and work on-site in Helsinki, Finland, on a rotational basis.
We are seeking candidates who are geographically flexible and able to commit to the designated rotation schedule (e.g., typically 3 weeks on-site, 1 week off-site/home, or as project demands). This arrangement includes company-provided travel and quality accommodation during your scheduled on-site rotation in Finland. Applicants must be willing and able to travel frequently to meet the demands of this crucial operational role.
Key Responsibilities (Your Impact)
Compliance Guardian: Ensure meticulous adherence to all relevant EHS legislation and the Project Specific EHS Plans, demonstrating absolute compliance with the company's Integrated Management System.
Cultural Leadership: Lead and manage the wider on-site EHS Team (where required), fostering a proactive and leading safety culture across all trades, contractors, and project disciplines.
Risk Mitigation: Co-ordinate, develop, and rigorously review task-specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Safe Plans of Action, and Permit-to-Work documentation.
Active Monitoring: Conduct regular, detailed site audits and inspections, documenting results, managing corrective actions, and ensuring all safety interventions are promptly completed and registered.
Stakeholder Management: Ensure positive, professional interactions with the client, swiftly addressing and resolving any safety observations.
Training & Awareness: Design and deliver highly effective, safety-focused information sessions across all project levels to significantly elevate awareness and actions.
Environmental Oversight: Manage ongoing R.E.A.C.H assessments and control of hazardous substances, reporting outcomes and recommended actions to senior management.
Skills & Qualifications (What You Need to Succeed)
A relevant professional qualification in Environmental, Health, and Safety.
Significant proven experience managing EHS on large-scale construction projects is essential (prior data centre or critical infrastructure experience is a distinct advantage).
A track record of successfully leading and managing an EHS Team to ensure strict project safety deliverables are met.
Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of current EHS legislation and best practices within the construction sector.
Highly process-driven, with a keen focus on Integrated Management Systems (IMS) implementation.
Strong communication, natural leadership, and exceptional organisational skills.
Proficiency in standard software (Microsoft Office Suite) and experience utilising Autodesk BIM360 Field software is beneficial.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs while on rotation.
