The Mission: Driving an Industry-Leading Safety Culture

We are Europe's most trusted partner in high-tech infrastructure, specialising in the end-to-end delivery of complex, massive-scale data centres across the continent. With over 430 MW of IT load currently in flight across seven different European countries, we are a powerful, high-growth entity setting the benchmark for the sector.

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Lead to spearhead our safety strategy on a critical turnkey project in Helsinki. You won't just manage compliance; you will own the safety culture, driving an industry-leading standard across all disciplines on-site.

✈️ Location Requirement: Rotational Fly-in/Fly-out Model ✈️

This is a critical, full-time role requiring the successful candidate to live and work on-site in Helsinki, Finland, on a rotational basis.

We are seeking candidates who are geographically flexible and able to commit to the designated rotation schedule (e.g., typically 3 weeks on-site, 1 week off-site/home, or as project demands). This arrangement includes company-provided travel and quality accommodation during your scheduled on-site rotation in Finland. Applicants must be willing and able to travel frequently to meet the demands of this crucial operational role.

Key Responsibilities (Your Impact)

  • Compliance Guardian: Ensure meticulous adherence to all relevant EHS legislation and the Project Specific EHS Plans, demonstrating absolute compliance with the company's Integrated Management System.

  • Cultural Leadership: Lead and manage the wider on-site EHS Team (where required), fostering a proactive and leading safety culture across all trades, contractors, and project disciplines.

  • Risk Mitigation: Co-ordinate, develop, and rigorously review task-specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Safe Plans of Action, and Permit-to-Work documentation.

  • Active Monitoring: Conduct regular, detailed site audits and inspections, documenting results, managing corrective actions, and ensuring all safety interventions are promptly completed and registered.

  • Stakeholder Management: Ensure positive, professional interactions with the client, swiftly addressing and resolving any safety observations.

  • Training & Awareness: Design and deliver highly effective, safety-focused information sessions across all project levels to significantly elevate awareness and actions.

  • Environmental Oversight: Manage ongoing R.E.A.C.H assessments and control of hazardous substances, reporting outcomes and recommended actions to senior management.

Skills & Qualifications (What You Need to Succeed)

  • A relevant professional qualification in Environmental, Health, and Safety.

  • Significant proven experience managing EHS on large-scale construction projects is essential (prior data centre or critical infrastructure experience is a distinct advantage).

  • A track record of successfully leading and managing an EHS Team to ensure strict project safety deliverables are met.

  • Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of current EHS legislation and best practices within the construction sector.

  • Highly process-driven, with a keen focus on Integrated Management Systems (IMS) implementation.

  • Strong communication, natural leadership, and exceptional organisational skills.

  • Proficiency in standard software (Microsoft Office Suite) and experience utilising Autodesk BIM360 Field software is beneficial.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs while on rotation.
