Join a dynamic team at the forefront of defence technology, developing next-generation radar systems to counter emerging threats while maintaining operational excellence of existing products. You'll apply Systems Engineering principles across the full development lifecycle, contributing to radar solutions used by those who serve and protect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design AC & DC power generation and distribution systems, including sizing, protection, control, and specification of power supplies and converters (from 440V AC to board-level voltages).

  • Develop motor drives, control, and positioning systems, including EMC management and verification.

  • Specify bespoke hardware and manage sub-contractor development programs.

  • Verify designs using simulation, analysis, and testing; support EMC testing and customer installations.

  • Produce design documentation and technical reports, providing Electrical Engineering expertise.

  • Follow the Engineering Lifecycle and participate in design, peer, and progress reviews.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.

  • Expertise in electrical power system design, including AC/DC conversion, distribution, regulation, and conditioning (linear and switch-mode).

  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and ideally EMC qualification to DEF STAN 59-411.

  • Familiarity with modelling tools such as Matlab/Simulink; SysML awareness beneficial.

  • Strong focus on safety, evidence gathering, and compliance for high-power/high-voltage equipment.
