Our client, a leading provider of Mechanical and Electrical services with over 45 years of industry experience, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Leeds. The role is a permanent, full-time position focusing on the data centre sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend project start-up meetings and manage all mechanical aspects to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery
- Familiarise yourself with project specifications and details
- Collate technical submittals and follow through until approval
- Manage the labour tracker and maintain weekly progress reports
- Report and manage any changes or variations in the project
- Liaise with main contractors and the client-based site team
- Oversee the coordination and delivery of project plant and equipment
- Ensure adequate materials are available to complete the project
- Implement construction and commissioning programmes on-site
- Manage the handover process and maintain the document management system
- Attend meetings with subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery
- Attend general site meetings and action any points raised
- Communicate project-specific innovations to the Contracts Manager
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in a Mechanical Project Manager or similar role
- Successful track record of delivering large-scale projects
- Qualification in Construction or Project Management is preferred
- Experience in supervising teams
