Our client, a pivotal player in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a Technical Project Lead - OSS HVDC to manage an exciting offshore windfarm project based primarily in Berlin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the HVDC system project within NSC2, focusing on onshore and offshore converter stations.
- Manage the entire technical project: tendering, awarding contracts, implementation, and handover.
- Act as the main technical contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform partial acceptances, quality checks, and compliance monitoring.
- Review technical documents and supervise implementation.
- Prepare and verify project documentation.
- Support permitting processes under NABEG and BImSchG.
Job Requirements:
Must-haves:
- Master's/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Experience in project management of large technical projects (preferably HVDC or high-voltage systems).
- Strong knowledge of converter technology and high-voltage equipment (AC/DC).
- Contract and claims management experience.
- German (B2) and English (C1) proficiency.
- MS Office skills.
- EU work permit and driver's license.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with NABEG/BImSchG permitting.
- Knowledge of HVDC system technology and grid connection requirements.
- Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Jira).
- Project management certification (IPMA, PMI, PRINCE2).
- Experience with international suppliers and intercultural collaboration.

- Project: NorthSeaConnector 2 (NSC2) - a planned HVDC link connecting LanWin 6 in the North Sea to the NordOstLink (NOL) land station.
- Project Location: Berlin
- Onsite/Remote Distribution: 75% Remote, 20% Onsite
- Possible additional locations for business trips to suppliers and project meetings
- Start Date: 01 January 2026
- End Date: 31 December 2027
- Total Service Days: 360 (180 per year)
