Our client is currently seeking experienced Project Managers to oversee complex construction projects at a facility near Reading. This position, which falls within the nuclear industry, demands exceptional leadership and organisational skills as well as security clearance at SC level, with the potential to obtain DV clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the operational management and delivery of projects.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders (Client, Contractors, project delivery functions) and maintaining regular communication.
- Leading key packages of site works.
- Experience delivering Instrumentation and control systems is essential
- Ensuring nuclear safety and quality requirements are achieved to the highest standard.
- Performing against a tight schedule and budget through effective management of deliverables, quality requirements, risk, and opportunity management.
- Creating an inclusive environment, leading, and motivating others to achieve and deliver successful project outcomes.
- Managing and supporting others in implementation and application of project controls and commercial management (NEC3 & 4).
- Ensuring that key deliverables within each stage of the project are being achieved to the highest standard on a consistent basis.
Job Requirements:
- Security clearance at SC level with the ability to obtain DV clearance.
- Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in a related field and have certifications in project management (e.g. APM, PMP, PRINCE2).
- Experience in delivering large scale and complex construction projects.
- Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple contractors.
- Demonstrable stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in working within a highly regulated environment.
- The ability to thrive in pressure situations is essential.
