This position is crucial for contributing to advanced projects within the Maritime Services business unit, with the flexibility to work from either Portsmouth or Glasgow. The role spans 12 months with hybrid working arrangements for a balanced work-life routine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop HVAC systems for maritime naval ships
- Participate in the integration of electronics design, ensuring compliance with BAE standards
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to ensure seamless integration of systems
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports
- Provide expert input during the testing and commissioning phases of projects
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety and security regulations
- Support project timelines and ensure deliverables are met efficiently
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in HVAC design engineering within a defence context
- Proficiency with BAE-electronics design principles and tools
- Strong understanding of maritime systems and their operational requirements
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong ability to produce and interpret technical documentation
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
- BPSS + SC clearance (or ability to obtain it)
