Our client, a dedicated data centre delivery partner, is currently seeking an Authorised Person (HV) to join their team in Espoo, Uusimaa, Finland. This is a permanent, full-time position within the dynamic and rapidly growing data centre industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with the Site Management team from early in the project, following the agreed Electrical Safe Systems of Work Procedure as directed by the Lead Appointed Person
  • Ensuring all workplace personnel are aware of and comply with Electrical Safe Systems of Work
  • Issuing and controlling permits for all energised working activities under the scope of work
  • Reviewing and understanding project specifications and drawings to extract project-specific requirements
  • Adhering to strict operational procedures and high voltage safety rules
  • Interpreting basic electrical protection under fault conditions
  • Completing safety documents and managing lock out/tag out procedures and philosophies
  • Reviewing Switchgear Distribution Topology and Controls prior to start-up
  • Supporting and liaising with specialist testing and commissioning contractors to agree on commissioning sequences and test scripts
  • Liaising with control system providers in the development of system handover under permit control schedule and protocols

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant third-level certificate in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or an Electrical Trade with relevant training and experience
  • Experience in a similar role within an electrical contracting environment, particularly in commercial, industrial, pharma, or data centre projects
  • Experience working on MV/HV systems, with Authorised Person or Appointed Person experience
  • Preferably certification at level S1 (able to work on any voltage) or level S2 (up to 1000V)
  • Experience in electrical testing and verification, with a minimum of 3 years
  • HV Switching tickets
  • Process-driven, focusing on EHS and quality work management systems and processes
