Our client, a leading consultancy in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking an NX Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Derby. This role supports key nuclear programmes, including the UK Submarine programme, the existing nuclear generation fleet, decommissioning, and high integrity structures for new nuclear establishments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generation of detail models and assemblies based on provided concepts and input specifications
- Generation of complete manufacturing drawings for components based on instructions from the design support team
- Collaborating with design teams to ensure produced NX models and drawings meet the requirements and design intent
- Suggesting modifications to improve models and design
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards
Job Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Product Design, or a related CAD discipline
- Experienced in the use of NX11 & Teamcenter software
- Experience with ASME Y14.5M-1994
- Proven experience in a CAD-based role
- Security Cleared (SC)
- Familiarity with design codes and industry standards relevant to the nuclear sector (desirable)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Required to work at locations in Derby
