Our client, a key player in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a Welding Engineer to join them on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity supporting a major Nuclear project in Reading, offering a challenging yet rewarding role for individuals passionate about welding standards and quality within the nuclear industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with welding standards and regulations for nuclear projects
- Coordinating welding activities in alignment with BS EN ISO 14731
- Overseeing and contributing to the Quality Assurance processes
- Collaborating with engineering teams to develop and implement welding procedures
- Reviewing and approving welding documentation
- Maintaining international certification requirements in welding
- Providing technical guidance and support to welding operations
Job Requirements:
- Holding or eligible for SC Clearance
- Expertise as a Welding Coordinator according to BS EN ISO 14731
- Experience in Quality Engineering within the nuclear sector
- Certification as an IIW/EWF Welding Engineer or Technologist
- International Certification in welding
- Strong understanding of the nuclear industry and associated safety standards
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards
