Our client, is currently seeking a Drainage Engineer (Design & Water Management) to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based in Hampshire and offers the opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering drainage design and flood management solutions for highways, property, and development projects.
- Designing highway drainage systems in compliance with DMRB standards for ETE projects.
- Working on LLFA/S278/S38/S106 drainage projects and checking designs as part of a mixed workload.
- Designing foul and surface water drainage systems according to Building Regulations and Sewers for Adoption guidelines.
- Specialist design of small packaged sewage treatment plants and drainage fields/mounds/outfalls.
- Flood modelling of both pluvial and fluvial sources.
- Using AutoCAD/Civils 3D or Causeway Live/PDS for design tasks.
- Drafting contracts in SHW (Highways England) and/or NBS formats.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in drainage design for highways and development projects.
- Experience with LLFA/S278/S38/S106 processes and requirements.
- Understanding of Building Regulations and Sewers for Adoption for drainage design.
- Skills in the design of sewage treatment plants and associated drainage solutions.
- Competency in flood modelling techniques.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Civils 3D or Causeway Live/PDS.
- Ability to write contracts following SHW (Highways England) and/or NBS formats.
- A valid driving licence (category B) for car use.
