Our client, a leading organisation in the technology sector, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Newcastle on a contract basis for 13 months. This role requires Security Clearance (SC) and offers a hybrid working model, with three days a week on-site. You will play a pivotal role in defining, documenting, and implementing cutting-edge cloud security frameworks and architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the cloud security framework and architecture to meet business requirements and performance goals
- Document the implementation of cloud security controls and facilitate their transition to managed operations
- Act as a subject matter expert in DevOps, providing guidance and expertise across multiple teams
- Develop innovative security solutions that align with the overall cloud strategy
- Conduct regular assessments of cloud security controls to ensure compliance and effectiveness
- Lead training sessions to enhance team knowledge on cloud security best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle
- Stay updated on the latest cloud security trends to continually improve the security framework
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in IT DevOps
- Expert proficiency in DevOps practices and advanced proficiency in Git
- Advanced proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security Architecture, and Managed Cloud Security Services
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to offer solutions across multiple teams
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Security Clearance (SC) is required
