Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Quality Inspector (Receipts Inspector) to join their team in Barrow. This is a contract position fully on-site, dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance within the submarine solutions division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting received goods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Documenting quality inspections and maintaining detailed records
- Collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams to address quality issues
- Identifying and reporting non-conforming materials or products
- Conducting root cause analysis and suggesting corrective actions for quality issues
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and security protocols
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the quality inspection process
- Communicating effectively with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns
Job Requirements:
- Experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or defence setting
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspections
- Proficient in documenting inspection results and maintaining records
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues
- Understanding of safety and security requirements in a defence environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to suggest improvements
- Security Clearance (SC) is required
