Our client, an established player in the rail sector, is currently seeking Planners to join their team in Toronto. This is a permanent opportunity that offers the chance to contribute significantly high profile railway projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the Planning & Schedule Management Lead as part of the Integrated Program Delivery Team (IPDT)
  • Managing IPD best practices in contract management and engaging key stakeholders on contract transformations under the PDP/IPDT model
  • Supporting the review and update of planning and schedule processes and procedures based on IPDT model best practices
  • Developing and implementing program-wide project requirements to improve consistency and align with the overall delivery approach
  • Managing IPDT procedures, systems, and toolsets for program management of contracts across the projects.
  • Providing a program-wide view of planning and scheduling considerations to ensure consistency and efficient delivery
  • Supporting program-level risk management and stakeholder engagement as required by the Stakeholder Management Plan
  • Ensuring consistency in delivery approaches by standardising program and project procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in planning and scheduling management, particularly within large capital transit projects
  • Proficiency in contract administration and management of large capital programs
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Power Query
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6; knowledge of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance
  • Experience with Navisworks, Synchro, Power BI, and TILOS is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience developing innovative, methodical, and robust planning and scheduling solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; professional qualifications and certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, or PSP are preferred
