Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, acquiring validation, and deploying targeted purchasing policies for one or more commodities.
- Guaranteeing the attainment of objectives in terms of gains and service levels expected by the organisation.
- Coordinating actions with concerned buyers from other companies when managing group mandates.
- Leading communication regarding the purchasing policies under your responsibility.
- Acting as an approver, expert, and key contact for your commodity.
- Fostering and maintaining a UK-wide network within your commodity.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrable knowledge of purchasing methodologies and processes.
- Proven experience in indirect and direct purchasing.
- Understanding of industrial and purchasing policies, including legal knowledge of contracts.
- Experience within a purchasing team using purchasing information systems.
- CIPS qualifications at Level 4+ or equivalent professional experience
