Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This permanent role provides an excellent opportunity for an engineer to further develop their software quality assurance skills within a dynamic and impactful industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring adherence to software quality assurance processes and standards
- Supporting diverse programmes and project activities
- Collaborating with the UK Engineering Directorate's software development teams
- Ensuring quality standards for hi-tech systems
- Building strong relationships with colleagues across various programmes
- Leading Project Quality Assessments and identifying risks and critical issues
- Providing input to monthly reports
- Maintaining clear and effective communication, both orally and in writing
Job Requirements:
- Understanding and background in software development and quality assurance
- Knowledge of software processes, including national and international standards
- Ability to influence change and collaborate objectively
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage unexpected changes
- Engineering Degree or equivalent, with relevant experience
- Experience or knowledge of configuration management, documentation, and requirements management systems
