Our client BAE Systems, a leading player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking three Process / Manufacturing Engineers to join their team on a 12-month contract based fully on-site in Washington. This role will be part of the Land business unit and focuses on delivering key manufacturing processes within a high-security environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing, and optimising manufacturing processes
- Ensuring all manufacturing activities meet defence and security standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing issues
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
- Preparing and maintaining documentation related to process improvements
- Monitoring and reporting on production performance metrics
- Maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
Job Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing within the Defence & Security sector
- Strong understanding of process engineering principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on optimising production processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Understanding of compliance and safety standards in high-security environments
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
