Proven experience in a broad compliance focused role within a regulated or complex environment.

A global leader in maritime navigation and surveillance radar technology is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its team on a full time, permanent basis in Enfield. This role supports the business in ensuring full legal, regulatory and ethical compliance across all operations.

Location: Enfield (Hybrid: 3 days on-site; increased on-site presence preferred during probation)
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + benefits

Please note: SC Clearance is required. Applicants must be British nationals or EU nationals who have lived continuously in the UK for at least 5 years.

Key responsibilities for the Compliance Officer will include and will not be limited to:

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, including GDPR, DPA 2018 and the UK Bribery Act.
  • Provide expert guidance on compliance policies, ethics and regulatory requirements across the business.
  • Develop, implement and monitor internal compliance policies and preventive controls.
  • Conduct third-party due diligence, risk assessments and compliance reviews throughout contract lifecycles.
  • Manage DPIAs, maintain ROPAs and handle data subject requests.
  • Support internal/external audits, prepare compliance reports and investigate potential non-compliance or data breaches.
  • Work with stakeholders to promote and embed a strong compliance culture.
  • Collaborate with Central Compliance to ensure alignment with global frameworks.


Key skills and experience required for the Compliance Officer applicant will include and will not be limited to:

  • Proven compliance experience, ideally in Defence, security, or regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR, DPA 2018, and UK Bribery Act; sanctions experience a plus.
  • Understanding of corruption, money laundering, and terrorism financing risks.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to advise and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and confident in assessing regulatory, commercial, and operational risks.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • Degree-level education; legal or compliance qualifications (e.g., GDPR Practitioner) desirable.
