Our client, a leader in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a skilled Bush Fit Honer for a permanent position. This role is essential in maintaining and ensuring the precision of aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install bushes and dimensionally check tolerances
- Fit and swage bearings, hone bushes in accordance with OHM/CMM/SOPM
- Ensure adherence to Customer Turn Around Times
- Embrace and actively improve LEAN processes
- Meet and adhere to all KPI targets for the department
- Check components and bush logs for accuracy
- Install bushes/bearings and check dimensionally using workshop manuals and drawings
- Use imperial calibrated measuring equipment
- Swage bushings with suitable methods
Job Requirements:
- Engineering apprenticeship
- Proficiency in machining and using imperial measuring equipment
- Experience in an aerospace environment preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy
- Well-organised, punctual, quality conscious and flexible
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Right to live and work in the UK unrestricted
