Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is currently seeking a skilled Data Modeler for a contract position. This role, based in the UK with occasional travel to London St. Paul's, involves full-time engagement from 12 January 2026 until 31 March 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand and translate their data requirements
  • Design and implement dimensional models following the Kimball methodology
  • Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and Lakehouse architectures
  • Manage metadata, data lineage, and governance to ensure model consistency
  • Optimise model performance and ensure thorough documentation
  • Utilise tools such as MSFT Purview and Databricks Unity Catalog for data cataloguing and governance
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate and validate models
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and manage their expectations

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data modeling with a strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star and snowflake schemas, and normalisation principles
  • Experienced in stakeholder management and comfortable navigating ambiguous requirements
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and manage business stakeholders
  • Familiarity with MSFT Purview and Databricks Unity Catalog is essential
  • Proficiency in data modeling with Erwin is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
