Our client, a leading provider of marine engineering training, is currently seeking a Technical Training Instructor with Pipefitter experience to join their team in Gosport.

This is a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to mentor the next generation of engineers, leveraging career expertise without prior teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide training on how to fit pipework on ships from a drawing (Fit from design)
  • Teach brazing techniques
  • Maintain strong collaboration within the business
  • Support trainee development through assessment, feedback, and personalised learning approaches
  • Maintain and update training materials, contributing to modernising and improving training delivery
  • Ensure compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and safety standards, and maintain a CPD portfolio

Job Requirements:


Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in an engineering discipline
  • Proficiency in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace
  • Competent practical coppersmith/pipefitter hand skills
  • Proven experience in workshop/industry principles


Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Level 4 Teaching Qualification or Train The Trainer Course (or equivalent)
  • Previous instructional experience in civilian engineering environment
