Our client is looking to recruit a number of Production/Machine Operators into their manufacturing team near Lymington due to an increase in orders and work volumes.
Primary Purpose of the Role
Manufacture materials in line with customer specifications
Operate and monitor machinery and ancillary equipment
Ensure timely and efficient completion of production tasks
Accurately record production data and material usage
Contribute to ongoing company-wide and local continuous improvement initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Operate machinery and associated equipment according to defined procedures
Maintain machine run rates to maximise efficiencies
Monitor and verify product quality throughout the production process
Ensure final product meets all required quality specifications
Perform machine cleanouts and maintenance of equipment and ancillary systems
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
Record daily production activities and relevant process data accurately
Report on production metrics including output, downtime, changeovers, and other key data
Person Specification
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, and basic numeracy)
- Able to interpret detailed work instructions, batch cards, and quality documentation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Willingness and ability to be trained on extrusion and ancillary equipment
- Counter Balance forklift license
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
Hours:
Training will initially be on days before migrating on to the following pattern after successful completion
4pm - 6am (Friday)
6pm - 6am (Saturday and Sunday)
These are temp-to-perm opportunities dependant upon individual performance and continued strength of the customer order book.
Pay:
£13.00 per hour (rising to £15.78 per hour once migrated across to nights)
