Our client, a prominent organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Systems Engineering Lead to join the Data Link Systems team within the Seekers and Data Link Systems directorate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support projects in their use of current and emerging systems engineering processes, methods, and tools
- Develop and promote best practice usage to improve efficiency and consistency across UK projects
- Provide education, training, and consultancy-style system design support to key programmes
- Support the development of team members in building their Systems Engineering knowledge
- Influence the Systems Engineering approach of new business and support established programmes in tailoring processes
- Shape the direction during transitions between phases of programmes
- Collaborate with key partners to enhance systems engineering practices and achieve goals efficiently
- Engage with stakeholders across all national sites to align processes and approaches
Job Requirements:
- Broad Systems Engineering experience covering the full lifecycle
- Understanding of state-of-the-art Systems Engineering methods and their application
- Experience with lifecycle issues on major projects
- Ability to understand and implement MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) methodologies
- Capability to work autonomously and proactively, managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Stakeholder management experience
- Experience with systems architecture design
- Experience in supporting colleagues' development
