Our client, a prominent entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a skilled HR Advisor to join their team. This contract role within the Maritime Services business unit offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical projects in a hybrid working arrangement, requiring 2-3 days on site per week at Broad Oak.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive HR advice and support to business units within the Maritime Services sector
- Managing employee relations issues and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Supporting recruitment processes, including interviews and onboarding of new staff
- Advising on performance management, employee development, and retention strategies
- Maintaining up-to-date records and HR documentation
- Collaborating with managers to address workforce challenges and develop effective HR solutions
- Ensuring all HR activities comply with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in HR advisory roles, ideally within the Defence & Security sector
- Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with employee relations and conflict resolution
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Security clearance level BPSS + SC in Flight
