A global strategic, environmental, and engineering consulting organisation is seeking a Procurement Assistant to join its team on a part-time, fixed-term basis in Leamington Spa.
Role: Procurement Assistant
Type: 3-Month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Part-Time, 2.5 days per week
Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire (Onsite)
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (pro rata) + benefits
Key responsibilities for the Procurement Assistant will include and will not be limited to:
- Supporting Buyers and Site Managers with requisitions and reporting on goods and services required across UK sites.
- Initiating purchase requisitions to assist Buyers in raising and placing purchase orders.
- Maintaining reports and spreadsheets tracking usage, spend and supplier invoices.
- Maintaining the contracts register and supporting Buyers with tenders, data gathering and supplier information.
Key skills and experience required for the Procurement Assistant will include and will not be limited to:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous procurement or purchasing experience.
- Problem-solving abilities with strong analytical and listening skills.
- Sound commercial acumen and a logical, structured approach to tasks.
- Ability to understand, simplify and improve processes.
- Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with suppliers.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within an established team.
Desirable experience:
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, particularly in manufacturing environments.
- CIPS qualification (advantageous but not essential).
