Our client is seeking a Senior/Principal Bridge Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role will be instrumental in supporting bridge projects, focusing mainly on highways and potentially some historic bridges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage bridge engineering projects, including strengthening, replacement, and upgrading of bridges
- Conduct structural analysis using relevant software, such as MIDAS
- Provide technical expertise in bridge engineering within the highways sector
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project delivery
- Review and approve technical designs and calculations
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Mentor and support junior engineers within the team
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
