Our client is currently seeking a Civil 3D Designer to join their team on a contract basis in Manchester. This role focuses on national highways schemes and development infrastructure projects across the UK. The position requires one or two days in the office and offers the flexibility of remote work for the remainder of the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing highway alignments and geometries using Civil 3D.
- Working on various national and development infrastructure schemes.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Maintaining high technical proficiency in Civil 3D and, ideally, OpenRoads.
- Providing technical input and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Translating design intent into accurate digital models.
- Ensuring seamless integration with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary design environments.
Job Requirements:
- Expertise in Civil 3D; familiarity with OpenRoads is a bonus.
- Understanding of both Irish and UK road design standards and guidelines.
- Experience in highway design, including road alignment and geometry.
- Strong communication skills for client engagement and technical presentations.
- Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Capability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
