Our client, a leading company in the technology sector, is currently seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join their global team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the configuration, tuning, and operational support of cybersecurity platforms, including endpoint protection, log management, vulnerability scanning, and firewall solutions.
- Utilise scripting (Python, PowerShell) to automate audit tasks, data collection, reporting, and platform interactions via APIs.
- Support integration and interoperability between security tools and internal systems.
- Perform basic threat analysis using logs, alerts, and endpoint telemetry.
- Investigate phishing incidents and support incident handling processes.
- Manage and support service desk cases as part of the SecOps instance.
- Contribute to documentation of processes, tool configurations, and automation scripts.
- Monitor and manage security dashboards, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a cybersecurity or security engineering role.
- Familiarity with endpoint protection, log management, vulnerability management, and firewall technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
- Experience with security platforms such as Rapid7, CrowdStrike, and Azure Security.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including IP addressing, subnets, routing basics, and common ports and protocols.
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are preferred.
