Our client is seeking a Junior Unified Communications & Cloud Services Engineer to join their dynamic team. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing Unified Communications (UC), Azure cloud operations, incident response, and security/compliance management.
Key Responsibilities
Unified Communications Support
- Assist with the configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Teams, VoIP systems, and video conferencing platforms.
- Monitor UC environments for alerts, performance issues, and service disruptions.
- Utilise diagnostic tools such as Teams call analytics and Wireshark to support root cause analysis.
Azure Cloud Operations
- Support Azure resource provisioning activities, including storage, virtual machines, and subscription management.
- Assist with RBAC role assignments and access governance tasks.
- Review Azure cost and usage reports while contributing to automation initiatives for spend tracking and optimisation.
Incident Response & Monitoring
- Participate in L2/L3 incident management workflows for UC and cloud services.
- Use monitoring dashboards and network analysis tools to investigate and resolve operational issues.
- Document incident timelines, resolutions, and lessons learned.
Security & Compliance
- Follow encryption, authentication, and compliance standards applicable to UC and cloud platforms.
- Support the implementation of recommendations from Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Assist in routine compliance checks to ensure configurations align with organisational security policies.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of configurations, troubleshooting procedures, operational runbooks, and team knowledge articles.
- Contribute to process improvements and knowledge-base enhancements.
