A leading defence contractor requires a Senior Contracts Manager to lead all commercial contract management activities on a high-profile training programme for the UK MOD. Applicants should be commercial leaders, skilled in developing commercial contract management strategies and be accustomed to working collaboratively in complex, multi-stakeholder environment supporting the UK MOD.
The Senior Contracts Manager is a senior management position responsible for the leading and delivering all commercial aspects of active programmes, while developing and motivating a Contracts team engendering a culture of collaboration aligned to customer goals.
Specific duties of the Senior Contracts Manager include:
- Lead commercial management of contracts, across the contract lifecycle; bids, in life, change, claims/disputes
- Create and review complex contractual and strategy documents, including for sub-business areas
- Stakeholder collaboration; senior level briefing, executive-level engagement and cross-functional partnering
- Ensure compliance, governance and risk mitigation and effective management of gating and approval process
- Manage customer relationships, including operating within an ISO 44001 collaborative working environment
- Leadership of the Contracts team and workforce planning
Senior Contracts Managers should meet the following criteria:
- Head Of, or Senior Leadership level commercial contracts management expertise within the defence sector
- Proven experience in managing and delivering medium (£25m) and high-value (£200m+) contracts
- Ability to influence and engage; military and industry partners, stakeholders and colleagues
- Experience leading teams and professionals across all skill levels
- Customer focused
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC level)
