They manage the entire project lifecycle, from design through to construction and commissioning, covering all civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.

Your Mission: Driving Excellence in Site Safety
You will be responsible for implementing, managing, and sustaining a world-class safety framework on site. Key responsibilities include:
Strategy and Compliance
System Ownership: Oversee project adherence to the company's Safety Management System and relevant statutory Environmental, Health & Safety EHS legislation.
Documentation: Develop construction stage plans and ensure compliance with the Principal Contractor's Safety Plan.
Performance Monitoring: Conduct HS reporting, analyse metrics, and keep senior management reliably informed of departmental progress.
Risk Control: Manage and support the development of all critical safety documentation: method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of action, and H&S permits-to-work.
Site Management and Auditing
Best Practice: Champion and ensure superior safety practices are consistently maintained across the entire project group.
Proactive Intervention: Adopt a proactive stance towards site EHS requirements. Ensure safety interventions are completed and registered promptly.
Inspections: Conduct routine site audits, meticulously documenting results and rigorously tracking all corrective actions to closure.
Hazardous Substances: Oversee ongoing Control of Substances Hazardous to Health COSHH assessments.
Documentation Control: Maintain accurate records of statutory inspections, ensuring all necessary supporting documentation is readily available.
Training, Coordination, and Investigation
Subcontractor Management: Ensure all project subcontractors strictly adhere to project and corporate EHS policies and procedures.
Induction & Resources: Coordinate and manage site induction and training, and ensure adequate personal protective equipment PPE is resourced and available.
Incident Response: Timely assist with or carry out accident investigations and ensure rapid communication of findings to the project management team.
Skills & Credentials
Education: A relevant third-level degree qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience managing EHS on large-scale construction sites.
Sector Knowledge: Experience in data centre construction projects is highly desirable.
Expertise: Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of current EHS egislation.
Core Competencies: Strong communication and IT skills, proven ability to work on own initiative, and flexibility in working patterns when necessary.
