An established engineering and maintenance organisation is seeking an experienced Software Commissioning Test Team Leader to supervise on-site commissioning activities for industrial control systems. The role focuses on ensuring safe, compliant, and accurate testing within complex industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise on-site software commissioning and testing activities
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved commissioning procedures and Safe Systems of Work
Review commissioning documentation for suitability and compliance
Coordinate commissioning activities with other site teams and attend planning meetings
Manage Temporary Commissioning Aids, including approval, application, monitoring, and removal
Raise commissioning reservations and manage defects during testing
Stop commissioning activities where safety or system integrity is compromised and escalate appropriately
Ensure the final plant configuration meets commissioning documentation or agreed standards
Manage incidents, make safe, and preserve the scene for investigation
Skills & Experience:
Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC and SCADA systems
Good understanding of control panels, electrical installations, and instrumentation
Proven experience in testing and on-site commissioning
Strong health & safety awareness
Qualifications:
ECS Card (or equivalent) - essential
SSSTS or SMSTS - preferred
