An established engineering and maintenance organisation is seeking an experienced Software Commissioning Test Team Leader to supervise on-site commissioning activities for industrial control systems. The role focuses on ensuring safe, compliant, and accurate testing within complex industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise on-site software commissioning and testing activities

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved commissioning procedures and Safe Systems of Work

  • Review commissioning documentation for suitability and compliance

  • Coordinate commissioning activities with other site teams and attend planning meetings

  • Manage Temporary Commissioning Aids, including approval, application, monitoring, and removal

  • Raise commissioning reservations and manage defects during testing

  • Stop commissioning activities where safety or system integrity is compromised and escalate appropriately

  • Ensure the final plant configuration meets commissioning documentation or agreed standards

  • Manage incidents, make safe, and preserve the scene for investigation

Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC and SCADA systems

  • Good understanding of control panels, electrical installations, and instrumentation

  • Proven experience in testing and on-site commissioning

  • Strong health & safety awareness

Qualifications:

  • ECS Card (or equivalent) - essential

  • SSSTS or SMSTS - preferred
