PMO Project Planner | 6-Month Contract
Location: Hybrid - Fareham (on-site every 1-2 weeks)
Start: January 2026

We're looking for a highly experienced PMO Project Planner to join a Tech Enablement team within a large, high-level enterprise environment. This role sits at the heart of the PMO, supporting delivery teams by owning dependencies, reporting, documentation, and communications across the full project lifecycle.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, project managers, and delivery teams to ensure clear visibility of progress, risks, and outcomes, enabling effective decision-making across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage dependencies across programmes and projects within the PMO
  • Produce and maintain accurate reporting for senior and executive stakeholders
  • Maintain high-quality project documentation throughout the full delivery lifecycle
  • Support projects from initiation through to closure, ensuring governance standards are met
  • Provide clear, regular communications and status updates, highlighting exact progress, risks, and blockers
  • Maintain RAID logs, actions, and decisions with clear ownership
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and progress using Microsoft Excel as the primary planning and tracking tool
  • Ensure PMO standards, controls, and frameworks are consistently followed, to support continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practice sharing

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Excel skills, with prior experience using Excel as the primary planning and tracking tool (essential)
  • Proven experience working within large-scale, enterprise environments
  • Strong background managing dependencies, reporting, and governance in a PMO setting
  • Experience running and supporting projects across the full project lifecycle
  • Exceptional communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues early
  • Comfortable working in a structured PMO with multiple concurrent initiatives

Details:

Contract: Initial 6 months
Rate: £300-£350 per day (Inside IR35), depending on experience
Location: Hybrid - Fareham (on-site every 1-2 weeks)
