Our client BAE Systems is looking for a Structures Engineer to join their dynamic team within the Military, Air & Information business unit. This role is based at the Samlesbury site with hybrid work arrangements available, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile aerospace projects. This is a 12-month contract position, working inside IR35.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in structural engineering, preferably within the aerospace sector.
- Proficiency in using relevant design and analysis software.
- Understanding of airframe structures and systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and integration of various airframe structures and systems.
- Ensuring the development of a safe, reliable, and maintainable product.
- Supporting design and development programmes in an agile environment.
- Collaborating with other Design Engineers to meet programme deliverables.
- Contributing to the F-35 Lightning II program, focusing on the BAE Systems developed elements of the F-35 Aft Fuselage.
