Are you a licensed helicopter engineer who enjoys autonomy, variety, and working at the sharp end of operations?

We're supporting a globally recognised rotorcraft organisation seeking a B1 Licensed Field Engineer to support a mixed fleet of modern turbine helicopters across the North of England. This is a field-based, work-from-home role where no two days are the same - from scheduled line maintenance to real-time defect rectification in operational environments.

You'll be trusted to work independently, represent engineering excellence on-site, and play a key role in keeping aircraft serviceable for customers operating in demanding, mission-critical sectors.

The Role

  • Certify maintenance and repairs on a range of modern Airbus-type rotorcraft

  • Carry out line maintenance, inspections and fault diagnosis in the field

  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy once established with customers

  • Act as the engineering interface with operators, maintaining high professional standards

  • Occasionally support the main UK maintenance hub during peak workload periods

You'll be fully equipped with company-provided tools and a pool vehicle, and supported by an experienced regional engineering structure.

Essential

  • UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 Licence (Turbine Rotorcraft)

  • Strong knowledge of airframe and engine systems

  • Confident working independently and directly with customers

  • Excellent communication and professionalism

Desirable

  • Type experience on H125 / H135 / H145 / H160

  • Exposure to Police, Air Ambulance or other specialist operations

About You

  • Comfortable working autonomously in a field environment

  • Adaptable, proactive and customer-focused

  • Trustworthy, organised and calm under pressure

  • Enjoys variety and responsibility rather than routine hangar work

Security & Compliance

  • DBS and eligibility for SC clearance required

  • Must meet UK export compliance regulations

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary

  • Private medical cover

  • Pension with employer contribution

  • Annual bonus and share schemes

  • Company vehicle, tools and full support

  • Access to a wide range of salary sacrifice and lifestyle benefits

If you're a B1.3 engineer looking for freedom, responsibility and meaningful work, this role offers the chance to step away from repetitive maintenance and into a genuinely varied field position.
